ADRA Germany e. V. is a relief organization of the protestant Seventh-Day-Adventist Church, which is independent from the government (NGO). ADRA works with people in poverty and distress to create positive change and justness through empowering partnerships and responsible action.

Its work focuses on disaster and development collaboration. Our goal is, to stand by humans who are in physical, financial or psychosocial plight and help them to create a basis to get a perspective for their future.

Being an institution of the church ADRA helps people – not asking for their political and religious view or their ethnic origin. ADRA is the abbreviation of : “Adventist Development and Relief Agency”.

Since the year 2000 ADRA Germany has tried to change the situation in Afghanistan in the long-term. It is still a long way until Afghansitan will have developed to a country, which can provide a basic standard on food, hygiene, accomodation and education to its inhabitants.
